Hello thar. It's me. Obviously.
I just wanted to drop in, and say howdy, I guess.
I am now officially an invertebrate zoologist...well, in training. Yay me! College is still siphoning my time away, but I do think there is a higher chance of me actually coming back to this site on a consistent basis now than last semester. Owing to the fact that I was, in a word, depressed last semester. I didn't have any energy for anything, even things I ordinarily enjoy. Despite the little dancing dude in my last journal entry, I was not a happy camper.
I feel much better this semester (although I'm still busy). Mostly my problem now is being "rusty." Jesus it's hard to get out of a rut. Almost all my usual "artistic" activities have been suspended in lieu of college: reading, writing, drawing, etc. It's just SO HARD to find the time. Especially for reading, for some reason...
Well, before I go I would like to add: a long time ago I drew Northern Jacanas. Well, I've seen one in real life now!

Admittedly it was one that got lost or something, so that wasn't its "natural" habitat, but still. They really are gorgeous birds.

Good to hear from you, sounds like you have a cool job going. I'm sorry to hear you weren't feeling too well. I hope to see your new drawings soon.

My soul hurts...
Ugh, I feel lame, not drawing anything right after posting this, but exams came out of nowhere lightning fast. This fish project should keep me busy though. Too bad I don't know a damn thing about fish...*scratches head*
